Title: Machine learning at Finn.no

Abstract:

This talk will present some of the main areas of application for machine learning at Finn.no, the biggest marketplace in Norway for second hand items, used cars, real estate and job adverts. Finn.no has access to large amounts of data from millions of users and an enormous number of items in various categories. This real-world data is used in both established and more experimental machine learning techniques to create better user experiences and new products.

The talk will both give a general overview of how Finn.no uses machine learning and also go into more detail on techniques that are used to provide recommendations as well as price estimates to its users
