Title: CF I – An introduction to counterfactuals from an explainable AI point of view (the non-technical version)
Summary: In this presentation I will be introducing the use of counterfactual explanations (counterfactuals) to explain “black box” ML models. I will give an introduction to XAI, a description of counterfactuals from a non-XAI point of view, an intuitive way to think about counterfactuals in XAI, and an overview of some of the pivotal papers in this field. I will also give several real-data examples of how counterfactuals look in practice.
